As a Data Analyst on our 25-person research team, you’ll work closely with the Research Lead and engineers to build scalable data infrastructure, automate research insights, and contribute to products used by blockchain projects and crypto funds worldwide.

Job Title: Data Analyst – Research Team
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)

Key Responsibilities:

Build parsers for social media and alternative data sources
Index blockchains and craft efficient SQL/GraphQL queries
Collaborate with engineers to design scalable data pipelines
Support research and editorial teams with data collection and analysis
Prepare datasets for new features on The Block’s Data Dashboard

What We’re Looking For:

Experience with digital assets, crypto, or blockchain technologies
Proficiency in SQL and GraphQL
Ability to scrape data and work with internal APIs
Familiarity with ETL pipelines and cloud data solutions (AWS/GCP)
Resourceful problem-solving skills and a deep attention to detail

Bonus Skills (Preferred):

Programming experience in Python or JavaScript
Understanding of EVM and smart contracts
BI tools experience (e.g., Google Data Studio)
API integration experience (REST/WebSocket)
Comfort with Unix/Linux, CLI, and version control tools
